Terms of service
You are buying a monthly measurement of what AI answer engines say about your market, plus the work to improve it. We measure, we report and we fix. We do not guarantee that any engine will name you, because nobody can.
Read this first. This is a plain-language draft written from
the product and the billing configuration as they actually are on 20 September
2026. It is not legal advice and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. The
owner should have it reviewed before anyone relies on it. Passages marked
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: …] are facts we could not source, and they must
be filled in rather than guessed.
Who this agreement is with
These terms are between you — the person or company holding the account — and
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: registered entity name, registration number and registered address],
trading as Bungad AEO. Creating an account or paying for a plan means you accept
them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind
it.
What the subscription is
Bungad AEO is a month-to-month subscription. Each month, for each brand you track, we ask an AI answer engine the questions you have configured and record three things: whether your brand was named, which sources the engine cited, and where you appeared among the brands it named. You get those numbers, the answers behind them and a list of recommended fixes, and on the higher plans we do some of that fixing work for you.
What it is not: it is not advertising, it is not a placement service, and it is not a way to make an engine say something. There is no mechanism anywhere in the industry that edits a model. What we change is the evidence available to it about you.
Plans and limits
These are the limits the application actually enforces. Prices are in US dollars per month and are the same here, in the app and in Stripe.
| Plan | Price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 1 brand · 5 questions · 1 check a month |
| Starter | $99 | 1 brand · 25 questions · 4 manual checks a month |
| Growth | $299 | 3 brands · 100 questions · 20 manual checks a month |
| Scale | $799 | 20 brands · 500 questions · 100 manual checks a month |
The question limit is counted per brand, not across the account. The scheduled monthly check for each brand runs on top of the manual allowance, not out of it. Manual checks are separately limited to six in any one hour, which is a guard against an accidental loop rather than a plan feature. Reaching a limit does not cost you anything; the app declines the action and says which limit you hit.
One engine, on every plan, today. Growth and Scale are described as covering every AI engine we track. That set is Perplexity and nothing else right now: it is the only engine we hold an API key for. Adapters for OpenAI and Anthropic are written but unkeyed, and Gemini is not built. We would rather you read that here, before paying, than discover it in a report.
What a run is, and why two runs disagree
A run is one execution of your tracked questions for one brand against the engines available on your plan. It produces one answer per question per engine, the citations attached to each answer, and a score computed from them.
Answer engines are not deterministic. The same question, asked twice, can return different wording, a different list of companies and a different set of cited sources. We have watched that happen on our own audit within the same minute. This is a property of the thing being measured, not a fault in the measurement, and it is why the product is a monthly trend against a fixed question set rather than a single reading. Treat any one run as a sample.
A run can also come back partial or empty — the engine may time out, rate-limit us or refuse. When that happens the app says nothing was measured rather than reporting a score of zero, because those are different facts.
What we do not promise
- No guaranteed ranking, mention, citation or position. No refund, credit or remedy is tied to any such outcome, because we cannot control it and neither can anyone selling you the same thing.
- No guaranteed traffic, leads or revenue. Many AI answers end the journey without a click at all.
- No guaranteed timeframe. We deliberately publish no figure for how long any of this takes, because we do not have enough of our own data to give one honestly.
- No coverage we do not have. See the note above about engines. Where a page of ours ever implies more, the page is wrong and this clause governs.
- No uptime commitment. There is no service level agreement. The app depends on a hosting provider, a database and a third-party engine, and any of them can be unavailable.
We publish our own audited visibility result at our score, including when it is bad. A vendor in this category who will not show you their own number is worth a question.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
- Stripe takes the payment. Card details go to Stripe, never to us. Stripe is the authority on what you were charged and when.
- It renews monthly on the date you subscribed, at the plan price shown above, until you cancel.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. That is how the customer portal is configured. Your plan keeps working until that date and then lapses to the free tier; nothing is charged again.
- No pro-rata refund for the remainder of a period that has started.
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether to offer any refund window, and what the applicable consumer law requires regardless] - A failed payment leaves your plan running while Stripe retries, for the remainder of the period already issued. If it is still unpaid after that, the plan lapses.
- Changing plan is done through the billing page, or by asking us. Where Stripe handles the change it applies its own proration rules to it.
- Downgrading does not delete anything. Your brands, your questions and your past runs stay in the account. What a lower plan buys is a smaller allowance, and you cannot add past it until you upgrade again.
- Prices can change. We will tell account holders before a change affects their renewal.
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: how much notice to commit to] - Taxes.
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether prices are inclusive or exclusive of VAT or local tax, and which jurisdiction collects]
Your account
- One person is responsible for the account and for anything done through it. Keep your password to yourself.
- Give us an email address you control. It is where a report and any account notice would go.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has your credentials, at hello@bungad.com.
- Do not try to break, probe or overload the service, do not attempt to reach another organisation's data, and do not resell access without asking us first.
Your content, and what we do with it
The brand names, domains, descriptions and questions you enter stay yours. You give us permission to send those questions to an answer engine and to store what comes back, which is the entire mechanism of the product. We use your data to run your service. We do not sell it, and we do not publish anything identifying your account without asking you first.
You are responsible for having the right to track the brands and domains you enter, and for not entering anything unlawful. The engine's answers are the engine's; we record them and measure them, we do not endorse them, and an answer can be wrong about you or about anyone else.
The free check
The check at app.bungad.com/check is free, needs no account and is
offered as it stands.
- It is capped per address, per site and overall each day, because every fresh check costs us money. Hitting a cap is not a fault.
- A result is reused for seven days, so you may be shown a stored run rather than a fresh one. The page always says when it was measured.
- It asks three questions on one engine, after one more to work out what your site is. It is not the paid audit and does not claim to be.
- Do not script it, do not try to evade the limits, and do not use the output to misrepresent another company. We may refuse or withdraw it from anyone, without explaining ourselves.
- Because it is public, a stored result can exist for a domain whose owner never asked for one. To have one removed, email hello@bungad.com.
Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of your paid period. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or is using the service in a way that threatens it for everyone else — and if we do, we will say why and, where the fault is ours, refund what you have paid for time you did not get.
Liability
The plain-language intent is this: if we get something wrong, our responsibility
is limited to the fees you paid us, and we are not responsible for lost profits,
lost business or the consequences of what an AI engine says about you. The exact
wording of a limitation clause is the part of this page that most needs a lawyer,
and it is deliberately not drafted here.
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer and indemnity wording, drafted for the governing jurisdiction]
Changes to these terms
The date at the top is the date this page last changed. If a change materially affects what you are buying or what you pay, we will tell account holders before it takes effect rather than relying on you re-reading the page.
Governing law and disputes
[OWNER TO CONFIRM: governing law, the courts that have jurisdiction, and whether any dispute process applies before them].
We would rather settle anything by email first: write to
hello@bungad.com and we will answer.
Common questions
What am I buying with a Bungad AEO subscription?
A monthly measurement of how an AI answer engine responds to a fixed set of questions about your market, and the work we do to improve what it says. Each month we run your tracked questions, record which brands are named and which sources are cited, and report what changed. Your plan sets how many brands and how many questions that covers.
Do you guarantee that AI assistants will mention my brand?
No, and nobody honestly can. We do not control what a model generates, and an engine can answer the same question differently from one minute to the next. We publish our own audited visibility result, including when it is bad, for exactly this reason.
Which AI engines does a run actually use today?
Perplexity, on every plan. It is the only engine we hold an API key for. Adapters for OpenAI and Anthropic are written but unkeyed, and Gemini is not built, so a plan that says every engine we track means one engine until that changes.
What happens when I cancel?
Your subscription stops renewing and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancellation is not immediate, and we do not pro-rate or refund the remainder of a period that has already started.
Can I use the free check on a domain I do not own?
Yes. It is deliberately public, it measures only what an AI answer already says about a category, and it never republishes the answer text. What you may not do is script it, evade the daily limits, or use it to generate material that misrepresents another company.
